Im not going be able to pay 3 of my store front loans (pdl) and dont know how to handle it. I have hinted around to the cash advance co. about waiting until next pay period but won't agree to it. I was told to maybe default on it. i live in the state of tennessee. any advice or help is appreciated greatly.

Hi...and welcome. Most store fronts are legal...so if you are going to miss your payments it would be wise to just tell them you need to make some other payments arrangements because you can't handle the payments any longer. Most will not make arrangements with you until you default..but then at least the interest stops and you can get a grip on the principle.

ISU (Indiana?? My son just graduated from there)
I actually have never had store fronts mysefl...mine were all internet loans...by default they mean you missed a payment...do you go into pay?? If you don't they deposit your check?? And then the money isn't there so you would be resposible for the NSF. Please read the info on closing your account::

Hi lsu. From what I understand, when you default, they deposit your checks first and then contact you for payment arrangements, if they are willing to make any. They can only charge you one nsf fee of $30. If you have been a loyal customer and have not defaulted before, then you may have a fighting chance. Maybe you could contact them and just be up front with them about your situation. They might be willing to work with you if they know that you absolutely cannot pay. I'm sure they would probably want to get some money rather than none. Good luck, and I hope that they will be willing to work with you.

I had store fronts, and was lucky that they were willing to work with me. When it got down to where i couldn't pay, I went in to the store and talked with them personally.
I told them I had been a good customer and if there was any way to work something out- I didn't want to screw them. Just go in personally, it works better, and see what they have to say. If you have been a good customer, like eleroo said, they may work with you.--But don't ignore it!..Keep us posted..karen

I have a question. Who are the storefronts? They may be members of the CFSA and this person can invoke the EPP to get them paid in payments.

LSU why not list the names of the store fronts you have...maybe some of the members might be familiar with them or know where we can see if they are members of the CFSA...if they are then they are required to let you make payments arrangements...epp..extended payment plan.

guest, if you list the names of your storefronts, I can check the list to see if they are members of the CFSA. If they are, you can invoke the EPP. But we need to see if they are members or not, so we need the names. If they are members, you can go in to the store BEFORE the due date of the loan, invoke the EPP, and the payments would be scheduled for 4 equal payments coinciding with your paydates to pay it off. But we need the storefront names to see if they're on the list.

we have one store front loan..its from advance america..if youre a good customer, you can ask for an extension and they wont charge you anything...I talked to them and told them our situation so they extended it and didnt add any charges to us..so the finance charge became good for 30 days and not 14..I also have a friend who borrowd from store front..she didnt pay it..they just pass it to a collection agency
