Yeah, right! I called the 800 # and some strange lady answered. After several minutes of trying to get the information I wanted, I just asked her if anyone there spoke English? She said she was speaking English. I replied, Oh, you are? Then I just hung up, if I can't understand her, I can't really get the information I need, can I? I documented her name (I think, at least what I thought she said) and the time, etc.

I just came upon your wonderful site... I thought that I was alone in this. I have 5 payday loans out and I have just recently tried to get a so called payday consolidation loan. They yanked my chain for 1 whole week just to have me blow up on their answering machine. They say that they would just put me farther in debt. I am paying about $700 every 2 weeks just in extension fees. I can't get them any lower because I can't really even afford the "extension" fees. My spouse has been out of work is the only reason I even got these dang things. Please help, I'm drowning..

Hello I'm Drowning,
I'm sorry for what you have gone through with you consolidation company. Someone will come along soon with some information to help you out. Meanwhile,
tell us exactly who you have loans with, are they store or internet lenders, how much did you borrow and EXACTLY how much have you paid them back? Then someone can help you out.

I am over my head with payday loans. I think I have at the min 5 but cant remember. I did get one of them CashNetUSA to reduce by 50% but the others wont budge and they are calling me at work and threatening to call my boss/company. Though I explain my situation and what I am able to pay they indicate that it isnt "good enough" and therefore I must pay what they want or they will take further action. I really need to find a company that will work on my behalf and allow me to make the payments that I can afford.

Paula-please tell us what state you are in and the names of the pdls, how much the original loan was for and how much you have paid each one in total (including fees etc). If your not sure then check your bank statements.

CashNetUsa is legal so they will have to be paid on thier terms but it sounds like they are working with you.

Its possible some of the others may not even be legal but we need a little more info to be able to help you.

My suggestion would be that you copy and paste your information into an entirely new thread, this way we can keep all of your information in one place and it will be less confusing replying.

Hi, we would be most happy to help you! Begin a new thread with the following information:
-Names of each pdl company.
-Whether they are store front or Internet.
-How much you borrowed.
-How much you paid so far.
-The state in which you reside.
