I am one who got tied up in this loans and I got a call from my Mother inlaw last night and she said a law firm had contacted her and she gave me the number so I called I didn't want them calling my inlaws anymore and I talked to her on the phone and I did owe the money and she was very nice it was $480 and she was willing to do payments so thats what I did. well I was up all night worrying so I called her this morning to see if she could tell me where the other payday loans might be with or if she has them.. but before i called her I went through some old emails and I contacted ICS and he told me to consider my account paid in full, so I told her that at Burgess Law firm and she said there is not a SOL on payday loans is that true ?? I am in NC if that matters, thanks I am just worried about family members being contacted I know I should have kept up with it but sometimes you just get in over your head

As far as I know, these pdls will continue for eternity to collect . I do not believe there is an sol, and even if there was, why would an illegal company care?

If the company said it was paid in full why is SHE still trying to collect. Did you get that in writing? if you can get that statement of PIF in writing you should be all set with them.

A PAYDAY LOAN as written woudl be considered a promisary note, so you would go by your state's law regarding the SOL on promisary notes.
