I love that last line:
Yeah, really clever. There is no way they are going to get away with it. It's just like Advance America's "Line of Credit" in Pennsylvania. Good going Check n Go! __________________

I got a kick out of that last line as well. Guess they are feeling pretty brave about now. Karma...they'll get there's in the end.

Considering all the publicity around Check n Go during the election, involving an ex employee coming forward with all sorts of nasty things Check n Go allegedly did, I'm surprised Check n Go would so blatantly try to get around DC's laws.

I guess I haven't followed the elections that close. I didn't know anything had come out about check n go. Is the payday loan problem being address by any of the candidates republican or democrat?

The laws for DC have already passed and gone into effect. It restricted the interest rate to 24% . . . . . Making it unprofitable to do payday loans. It was just for DC, not a national election.

They are not illegal, but since the new law went into effect the interest rate is capped at 24%.
