Since the lenders are not licensed to operate in your state, so you are required to pay them only the principal amount. As you have paid them more than the principal, then ask them for the refund. Illegal lenders won???t be able to take any legal action against you. Close your bank account asap to stop unauthorized withdrawal. Request it by money order or something do not give them people any more of your information. Make sure you filed your complaints and also include in the complaints you have demanded a refund for the over payment you have sent to them.

I sent the letters and have not gotten a response from any of the companies that reference my letter. I only have gotten threatening emails & phone calls from collectors. In fact, a collector left a hand-written note in my mailbox at home to call an 800 #. What do I do now??? I am worried that they will start harrassing me at work which would be awful.
Just give them some time they will reply especially when they realize they can't get into your bank account anymore. They may not be answering because they owe you. Have you filed your complaints with the ftc, BBB, and the NJ attorney General. My Cash Now you may not hear from I still haven't heard from them. Integrity Advance called me the one time and nothing more from them. Stand your ground they say no news is good news. Look on the payday loan forum there may be a letter you can copy to request a refund I would re-send your refund request letter and see what hapoens. It is your money you over paid them make sure you stand your ground and remain stern and don't let them see you sweat. they may try to sway you and make you and attempt to scare you its a bunch of crap! They will tell you their payday loan laws prevail but actually they don't don't get frustrated just continue to quote NJ law because our laws prevail.

Did you revoke your voluntary wage assignment and give a copy to your payroll department? If so, you are covered. To garnish you, they would have to sue you first which they cannot do since they are illegal.

Creditors/collection agencies can make collection calls and file lawsuits against the consumers represented by the debt relief companies.
Debt relief services may have a negative impact on the consumer's creditworthiness and his overall debt amount may increase due to the accumulation of extra fees.
The amount which the consumer saves with the use of debt relief services can be regarded as taxable income.

Thanks... I've paid all of them more than what the original loans were. The interest just keeps eating up my paychecks.
