why would i take the offer; they are illegl to lend in TX and i have already paid them over the amount borrowed.

BTW - Mutual Release means you release them from any further claims, and they release you from any further claims. Pretty much it means you are both done and will not pursue things any further.

A lot of pdl's include these in their settlement offers . . . .
