I have an internet PDL through Check n Go. I recently found out that internet PDLs are illegal in my state (Kentucky). They are apparently backed by First Bank of Delaware. Do I have to pay this?

This sounds like one of Check N Go's installment loans - like CashCall - because it's backed by a bank.

Anyone else know for certain? If this is indeed one of their installment loans, you need to be careful not to treat it as an illegal PDL.

yes it is the installment loan, similar to cash call. When you apply it actually takes you to the Bank of Delaware Installment loan website. So, sadly to say, it is a legal loan because they are backed by a bank.

Thanks for the info. I will call and make payment arrangements with them on Monday.

My apologies to the mods. I posted this via the "ask the community form on the left side of the forum page, and it posted in here rather than the PDL forum.

Yeah, Federal Law allows FDIC insured banks to import their home state's interest rates, and operate in other states without a license.
