Internet's first get-out-of-debt community - 122,000 members

I was thinking (lol famous last words) that it would be much easier to assist people if we had an alphabetical list of what PDL's are illegal, if we can get everyone to contribute the names of the illegal ones we can alphabetize it and maybe get it posted up top permanently.

I think that is a GREAT idea! I know that most of these PDL companies have different names, and tend to change their names but those could be added as we discover them. It may be a difficult task to accomplish, but I think it would be well worth the effort for those who want to participate in helping to compile a list.

Lone, This has been brought up many times, and it is virtually impossible to do. these companies change names and address that it is something we are not able to keep up with. It has been tried in the past and it just is not workable. Great idea, but no way to do it. On any given day an IPDL will have 5 names amd then it will have 7. Just too imposible.

That and the fact of: Some pdls are legal in some states while illegal in others depending on the law...so it would be impossible to actually draw up a listing.

Yeah, unforunatly they are right. It's been tried and tried again . . . . It's just too hard to keep it updated, and being state specific it makes it really hard to say what is legal and what isn't.

It would be much easier to post the ones that we know are legal. That would be a much shorter list!

That's probably the honest truth frogpatch! Well anyway, it sounded like a good idea but everything you guys posted makes sense, I can see where it would be an impossible task to keep updated.

The one way it could work was if someone wanted to do a blog - But then it would be up to that person to keep it updated. It would be a lot of work.
