I sent the letter to impact cash today after I closed my acct and this is what they replied, Is this true?

Our company is licensed out of the State of Nevada and as an internet payday loan company we are required to follow all of the laws in the state we are licensed out of, which we do. The law that you are referring to are for company's that have brick and mortar locations in the state of Wisconsin, which we do not.

They will always tell you that .It is 100% wrong. Your state laws are the ones that prevail. They are just blowing smoke.

I get the same thing and PDL's are prohibited in Maryland. The PDL's say that Maryland laws don't apply to them, as they do business over the internet!! Personally speaking, I always thought if any business operates in a given area, that they are subject to the laws of that area as well as their "home turf." And I always thought if a business was illegal, that even if you'd signed a contract w/ that business, if it was illegal it was not enforceable. But I could be mistaken. Oh well, as we've all seen, the PDL's make their own rules anyhow.

And....those rules change from day to day and person to person! If you hit it just right, you might just get a PIF so just keep at em!

I have a payday loan with impact cash and I called the collections dept. and they were very helpful. They allowed me to break my payments up into 2 payments and stopped the interest. I am in the state of PA. You may want to call and see if you can get an understanding representative.
