---------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------

I have an installment loan with check n go. All papers state First Bank of Delaware. I emailed them about needing to send payments to them. I never sent them any of the letters i sent pdl b/c I considered them a different loan. I told them I wanted to continue to pay them and needed info on sending payments. I got email saying they only accept moneygram sent the day before payment is due. I can't send payment the day before payday by moneygram!! When I told them this they stated only money gram the day before is accepted or they need bank info to ach. They said they do not accept mail ins and won't give me company address. What do I do? I know I owe them, I want to pay but can't pay their way.

Welcome to the forums. Boy, they have really put you in between a rock and a hard place. I don't think they can require you to do moneygram. You should be able to send money orders in. However it sounds like they are trying to make you late on purpose. You can do one of three things: 1. send the moneygram. 2. send a money order and risk late fees
or 3. go get a prepaid debit card and pay them that way-they sell them at lots of drug stores and grocery stores. Do not give them your bank info no matter what they say. They have to have an address you can send a payment to and if you hang tight, I am willing to bet someone on here might have it for you! Smile

I have emailed them again and told them that i know this is my debt and i want to pay by sending the money in. got a second very short email stating they do accept mail in payments it is money gram or debit from your account only. They also will not give me an address. I was given a money gram reference number with the state as Ohio to send money grams to. Huh? I am not sure how Ohio got in this I thought it was bank of delaware. Where is check n go?

I do not know where their corporate offices are. I live in Ohio and we have Check n Go here but I know they also have storefronts in other states. I wasn't able to find an address for them but hopefully someone will come along soon that has one. I am sorry that they are giving you such a hard time. Sad

I have always felt like if they want there money let them cough up an address. I do like the prepaid card thing though that way they cannot hit your bank account. KYSIDE38

Isn't there some type of law/regulation that you can mail payments in? I'm with kyside 100% in that, if they can't give you an address to send a payment in, then f the payment. I know you want to pay your debt, but they're running you in circles. I understand your point. How in the hell can you pay them the day before payday? Not possible. They are obviously asking for unreasonable repayment options. Why do they only want Money Gram or ACH payments? Sounds a little fishy to me. And also not giving an address? Sounds fishy once again. Like I said, I'm with kyside 100%. Give me an address to mail a payment to and I will. Don't give me an address and I file complaints left and right. If they want their money, they will work a payment plan with you and you should be able to mail payments in. Keep all your email documentation where they're refusing to give you an address. That's unacceptable. And also to ask for payment the day before your payday. That's insane. Keep it all and file complaints. You can still file complaints even if you're working with them. But I would send complaints just on the fact alone that they won't give an alternative other than ACH or Money Gram. Why the hell wouldn't they accept a money order through the mail? Hiding from someone????

I agree. I sent a revoke auth letter for phone and wage garnishment and am filing w/ Att Gen about them. Hope to hear from them. This is the one I thought would be easier b/c I never thought of it as a pdl( even though the interest is ridiculous like a pdl) and I know that I owe them. I don't understand why I can't send them money why they need my bank info for ach or money gram only. I don't want anything from them. I'm trying to give them money! Shouldn't them getting paid be most important not how I send it to them?

I am with the others, if they want their money bad enough they will give up an address. You know that they have one. They are just as bad if not worse than a pdl. You are doing the right thing.

btrx, make sure you file with the BBB. They will contact them and maybe they can get a physical address for you. In your complaint, state that your story. Tell them they will not give you a physical address. Tell them they will not accept any form of pmt except Money Gram or ACH and your not complying with that unreasonable request. Once the BBB contacts them, they might cough up that address for you to send money orders in. Make sure you tell them though. And make sure you complain to the BBB. They're usually the first ones to make contact with these people.

Hi. I almost got a loan with them, but declined when I started finding other ways to figure out this pdl thing. I seem to specifically remember that they have reference in their documents that you can mail in payments. Check your documents again to see. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't shake the feeling that they did offer a way to mail the payment.

I have an address for them...

FIRST BANK OF DELAWARE
1000 ROCKY RUN PKWY
WILMINGTON, DE 19803

I also defaulted with them about 10 days ago. They gave me the same story over e-mail. I have not heard from them for almost a week, no phone calls at all. Got an automated e-mail today reminding me of my next payment due this Friday. I plan to mail them a payment soon. Not sure if they are licensed. Cannot find them listed as being licensed in WI. Check'n Go is though - are they the same?

We're in the same boat see my post under debt consolidation!! We are dealing with Check n Go online here in WI where there are some store front Check N Go's the problem we have is we closed our acct about two weeks ago to try to get our life back have also taken care of 3 storefront pdls and got our mortgage, auto loans, utilities caught up. Now we have not heard anything from Check N Go online (First Bank of Delaware) untill today demanding payment TODAY or else! The orig. loan amount was 1200 have paid them 1320. The guy we talked to told us that a payment of 330 had to be made TODAY or they would pursue further action. When asked what the balance is on the loan he would not tell us unless we agreed to commit to pay in full today. Just because there are store front CNG in WI does that meen that the online CNG thru the First Bank of Delaware is licensed here also and if so what advice does anyone have as how to handle this? He also would not set up any type of payment plan to get this taken care of!
any advice is appreciated dealing with this is a nightmare!!!
Thanks

Well, I say you can't squeeze blood out of a turnip and your mortgage and utilities are alot more important than the installment loan. Are you calling Checkngo or First Bank of Deleware? Maybe the actual bank can be of more assistance. I think the PDLs are programmed to be rude. Smile

Stillnuts - First Bank of Delaware does installment loans. You apply for it thru Check'n Go's website. Which company is your loan thru? If it is a payday loan then it is just check'n go. Unfortunatly I have both a pdl with cng and an installment loan thru fbd.
