Im dealing with instantcashusa.com, which is not a legal company in my home state of Oregon. Oregon Division of Finance faxed them a letter as well as myself letting them know there weren't legal in this state. They ignore the letter sent it to collections.

They were told i only owed the principle minus any refinance fees I had paid. I tired to settle with them for the 120.00 I owed, 300.00 minus the 2 90.00 dollar refinance fees payed

so now its gone to Account Receivable Management Inc, they are registered in my state, but they won't listen per the phone call today. I emailed the AG hot in my state today as well, emailed the collection company to inform them of my complaint.

the phone call today the guy said that I refused to pay and they will take legal action, I just said I don't agree with the 540.00 amount you are trying to charge me. He hung up.

Any advise, hopefully I on the right track with contacting the AG's Office. What else should I be doing.

David

First off you need to file a complaint with Oregon state attorney general , the FTC and the BBB. Then send them a debt validation request. They won't be able to prove that it is a legit debt and thus there is nothing they can do to you. After that send them a cease and desist letter so they have to stop calling you. If they continue you can sue them.

filing AG complaints is good.also check your state laws in regards to recording calls.it goes a long way in making your complaint.alot of ipdl's lie to AG'S and other bodies.best to have all the ammo against them you can.

Mobile0311 what do you say in these complaints to the AG? I stupidly signed for a payday loan and don't want to have to pay the crazy fee's and interest rates? Just wondering as I will have to do the same soon.
