How can I tell if i signed this as part of my loan? Paydayone and cashnetusa. I am asking becuase I just did a search of my loan docs and I don't see it anywhere, wages, assignment, garnish etc...
Paydayone, in all probabilities, is an illegal lender. Check with the State Finance Regulation department. Cash Net on the other hand is completely legit. Most loan companies mention the information you are looking for under their FAQ section.
Steven Doyle, you need to research a little more carefully.
Both Payday One and Cash Net USA are licensed in almost every state either as a Payd Loan Lender, Installment Loan Lender, or CSO. As far as a wage assignment, I don't think they slip that one in their loan agreement. They are pretty straightforward in their loan agreements, and you can look in your documents. Or, call and ask them. They will be honest with you.
It would not hurt to just ahead and send a wage assignment revocation just to cover your bases.
How to Deal with Illegal Loans..OhioGal's Primer http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com...allenders.html PDL's are ILLEGAL in the following states...
AR, AZ, CT, GA, ME, MD, MA, NJ, NY, NC, PA, VT AND DC
OH AND NH have very restrictive low cost interest rate laws.
Why don't you just call them and set up an extended payment plan? Then you don't have to worry about wage assignments. Both are generally pretty easy to work with, even if you've already defaulted.

OK does anyone know how far they will extend payments?? meaning will they take a little?? I just got laid off yesterday to add to all of this mess.....
In Ohio, I believe they'll give you 6 payments. If that won't work for you, you may have to default and work with collections for a longer payoff period.

By signing up for counseling session, your provided details (Name, Email ID and Phone No.) will be forwarded to the company advertising on the DebtCC. However, you have no obligation to use their services.
Some creditors and collection agencies refuse to lower the pay off amount, interest rate, and fees owed by the consumer.
Creditors/collection agencies can make collection calls and file lawsuits against the consumers represented by the debt relief companies.
Debt relief services may have a negative impact on the consumer's creditworthiness and his overall debt amount may increase due to the accumulation of extra fees.
The amount which the consumer saves with the use of debt relief services can be regarded as taxable income.
