Most storefronts are legal . . . . You will need to communicate with them and set up payment arrangements with them, as storefronts can sue you for the debt.

Those rates are pretty close to being within the laws . . . . . In DC they can do 10% of the face amount of the check, plus a fee.
So that would be:
$715 x 10% = $71.50
$71.50 + $15.00 = $86.50
So yes, if they are charging you $100 then they are overcharging you by $13.50.

Famous Pawn is licensed. I can't find Money Today or Cash Advance. They may be licensed under another name.

well i just defaulted on this the will deposit the check and it will come back NSF i called them prior to make arrangements they said to do it this way. Then make the payment arrangements so thats that i guesss i will wait on them now

Yes, I looked for that name and it was not there. What I meant was they may be licensed under another name. There are a lot of licenses for people - Maybe the license is under the owners name or something.
