For some reason the last few days I have been getting a ton of what just register as incoming calls to my phone. One of them finally left a message saying that their name was Belinda with Morgan and Pottinger Attorneys and that I needed to give them a call back at an 888 #. Now I am a little leery about this, especially because I have never heard of them, so I thought I would post on here to see if anyone has ever heard of them or had any dealings with them before I decide if I am calling them back or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found this for you. It is from 2006, but if you do a search you may find more info. I am assuming it is a CA for a pdl.
I found this info on the BBB website. They are based in Louisville, KY but have an address in NY.

They've only had 1 complaint against them in the past 36 months and it was resolved, so they have a satisfactory record with the BBB. You can send them a written debt validation letter via certifed mail/return receipt requested if they won't give you any info over the phone.

I just googled them as well and they came up as a KY lawfirm that does collections among other things, if they are trying to collect on a pdl they are out of luck because I got all of mine paid off. I am sitting here trying to figure out what else it could be from.

Ok.. So I figured out what it was about once I finally got the letter from them. Back in mid September when I was digging myself out of the massive mess I had gotten into and was paying a ton of stuff off I had contacted one of the collection agencies on my credit report that had 2 accounts, one person was incredibly nice and helpful the other the complete opposite. The one that wanted to yell at me and give me a hard time and say they couldnt send me anything finally was like you will have something in the mail within 10 days which of course I never received, so that wasnt one of the things I paid at the time. Well turns out they sent it to this Morgan and Pottinger Law firm. I spoke with them today and they offered me a way better settlement than what the original collection agency ever offered, so I am going to take it and then thats one more thing taken care of. So thank god it wasnt one of the pdls trying to screw me again.
