Langehorne and PDL Assistance can both help you if you chose to hire someone. Their fees are very similar. However You could settle these on your own. There is a forum here just for PDL help with tons of helpful info to help you. First though you will need to close your checking account these pdl places have access to.

Very good advise mobile0311 but sometimes closing a checking account can be tricky and not needed. You can put a hard freeze on your account which means that your account will only take deposits and no withdraws of any kind. This also may be an option. You can stay at the same bank with this option. Someone with more infomation about this and other options will be along soon.

thanks,
Luke

1st I'm in Missouri. and all of the PDL's are internet. I read over state statue and if I understand correctly the fees and interest can not be over 75% of borrowed amount is that right. I bank at BOA talked with them today that said that closing the account would stop the ACH's b/c the account is still open for access for 30 days which would still leave me responsible for large amounts. They say that I must go into a branch and freeze the account for an extended period of time. In the frozen account you can only deposit not debit or withdraw. How can I stop the illegal PDLs from harassing my family friends and employer. Appreciate any insight to stop these predators

You will need to send thim a Ceast and Desist letter along with a Validation of Debt. You need to get these asap and send them certified with a rerturn reciept.

I do not know how to display these links, but someone will be here soon to set you up so take a pen and paper and get ready.
