tamisha, I found this on Worldwide Cash after doing a search on this site:
| Quote: | 1-800-440-5869
World wide cash now/telmerica
2207 concord pike #449
Wilmington, dleaware 19803 |
After reading through some posts, it sounds as though this may be an "address" for them; however, they might not be in the US. Was this a "verbal agreement" over the telephone???

Yes it was verbal..I seen a lot of your post and you have a lot of knowledge on this. To make sure I am doing this correctly I am currently waiting for my car payment to post to my bank account so I can close my account. I have 5 PDL USFastcash,Upfrontmoney/Fiancial processing/United Cash loans and Rapid cash management. I know I overpaid RCM so my bank requested a stop payment on that payment but she said it may not work...Do you thinks its a good idea to have my bank account as "deposit only" because I dont want to interupt my direct deposit on Friday??

tamisha, you have some illegal loans here. You need to put a hard debit block/hard hold/freeze/deposit only/whatever the heck they want to call it on your account now. If you can not close it immediately, that's fine. Just make sure your account can not be debited at all. By ACH debits, by checks, by anything. Not even your ATM card. In the meantime, set up another bank account at a different bank. Then have your direct deposit routed to the new account. Leave the block on the other account. Do not let ANYTHING go through. You will need to go in and speak with the branch manager and make sure this happens. Okay? These loans you are dealing with will never stop debiting your account if they have access to it. My concern right now is your Worldwide Cash. It was a "verbal agreement". Which means, no, this will not be a legal loan. They will KILL you with debits. On verbal agreements, they almost always have a "wage assignment". This needs to be taken care of immediately. You need to type up a quick letter revoking any wage assignments. All you have to do is type the pdl information at the top. Then type "I, (state your name), revoke any and all wage assignments that I have signed with your company, your partners, or any affiliates." Then just type your name. Get this letter emailed/faxed/mailed certified to this company as soon as possible. They will send a wage assignment to your employer trying to get money. Wage assignments are totally voluntary and can be revoked at any time. However, a lot of employers are not aware of this fact. You may need to "educate" your employer regarding this. Tell them this illegal company has your bank account information and you are covering all your bases. Because you will need to give a copy to your HR/payroll person to put in your file for when they do send the wage assignment. These illegal companies send wage assignments are aren't even "valid" wage assignments. However, they make them look all official and stuff. And some people are fooled by them. That's why you need to give a copy of your letter showing you revoked any wage assignment and also tell them it's an illegal company trying to access your money (they don't need to know ALL the details). Please at least do this as soon as possible before they get the chance to send one to your employer. Get the bank account taken care of ASAP. Then we can work on sending letters to these idiot pdls that you have and get it all straightened out. Just do not let the pdls know you are doing anything regarding your bank account. They will come down on you like vultures. Stay quiet, get the bank account taken care of, get that letter revoking wage assignment out. Then we'll go from there!

OMG! tamisha, these a$$ jokers will rob you BLIND!! Now, I've read a lot about them. Some people have hounded the living crap out of them for a refund (because of course everyone had overpaid by a ton of money) and I think maybe a few have gotten a refund; however, not a whole hell of a lot. I think a lot have just chalked this one up as a lesson learned the hard way. These guys are HORRIBLE. And they're whole deal is just a total scam. You REALLY need to get your account blocked asap. Your other loans aren't going to be legal loans either. We can get them taken care of. Your priority is getting that bank account taken care of. Get that done as soon as possible so these illegal idiots can't debit you any longer. Also, get that letter out revoking the wage assignment so that your employer doesn't fall for it and pay them money and take it out of your paycheck. That would really suck. Then we can figure out the amounts of all your loans and where we stand and get some letters out to the vultures and file some complaints with the government/state agencies.

Sounds like a plan..Thanks to this website I have done my homework and NY is not a state these lenders want to mess with..There totoally illegal in my state and they can only charge me intrest up to 25% instead of my 625%.I have 1 other question When lenders say " They follw laws of the UK" should I be concerned about that even though my state does not allow payday loans

tamisha, hell no. They are the worst ones of all. And they will argue your friggin head off - their law versus your law. Good Lord. I finally hung up on one of these guys after going back and forth regarding my law and "his" law for about 15 minutes. I figured I just wasted 15 minutes of my life arguing with this moron! You are a resident of the US. A resident of NY. The bank transactions took place in the US and in NY. You follow your law. They can stick their UK law. And the Malta law. And the Ireland law. Yes, there are pdls in all these places (some we had to actually look up to find out where the hell these places are!). They are crazy and nothing to be concerned with at all. You actually have two things going for you. First off, pdls are prohibited in your state. Second, the loans you have will not even be with licensed/legal lenders. Follow our game plan and you'll be okay!

tamisha, make sure that your bank will not "force" your account open due to pending pdl debits. This has happened to me and many others. Ask them if the account can be "forced open" by pending debits. If they say "yes", then tell them to put the hard debit block on it. Explain to them about illegal companies taking unauthorized debits from your account. If your account gets "forced open", it'll cause all those pdl debits to go through and then the bank will charge you fees also. It gets pretty ugly. Then you have to fight with your bank. So, ask them that question. If they say it will NOT be forced open, try to get something in writing from them assuring you of that fact just in case something happens. This way, you'll have something in writing and can march back into the bank and they'll take care of it. Just remember, if they can't promise it won't be "forced open", get that block put on it. Just leave it with a block on it and open a new account. When contacting your payroll department, tell them you have had fraudulent activity on your bank account. When I told my payroll that, they IMMEDIATELY stopped the direct deposit that day. Some employers give people a hard way to go and say it can't be stopped until the next pay cycle. However, if you tell them "fraud", they will usually get right on it. Please keep me posted as to how it's going. I'm always here!
