I am SO in shock here! I came home from work yesterday to find a letter from the NYS AG waiting for me. The letter states that they have marked my account as PIF! I can't believe they actually responded! 
I filed all of my complaints back in July, and haven't heard a peep from any of the PDLs (except for one) since. This was such a nice surprise. Now let's see if United Cash Loans and Oneclick follow suit!

Well finally our Ag is acting on these things again. For a while they seemed to have slacked off.

This is great news! I tried to send you a quick message and I am not sure if it went threw or if it went threw more than once. I did have some questions on how you accomplished this. I am in NY too and have an outstanding loan with Ameriloan, even though I have already paid $360 on a $300 loan. Anything you could offer in the way of getting this monkey off my back would be greatly appreciated. Kash has been extremely helpful for me as well but your post perked up my ears as I just sent a complaint via the net to the AG's office. Thanks in advance.

I would from NY and have a loan with Ameriloan. I sent a C&D letter telling them only to contact me via e-mail and that I wanted a breakdown of fees, state license number (which I know they don't have) or a PIF letter by 7-21-08. They called me Monday morning apparently they didn't understand via e-mail ONLY. She told me I signed a contract and owed $460 on my $300 loan that I have already paid $460 on. Any information you could share about what you did would be much appreciated!! Congrats!!!

Seems like the AG's office is slacking off again. I know that by the time I got a response from them I had already settled my PDLs. Did you send your C and D over to Intercept EFT and then let Ameriloan know that you did so? They have a private registration, which doesn't surprise me as they are part of MNE. Has the BBB sent them a letter of your complaint? I know that when they got mine, they came back with an offer and I rejected it as I had already paid the PDL in full. After a few back and forths, they finally gave me my PIF. This was all before I became aware of the processor option. Just keep sending that C and D letter with the State Laws attached. They will get sick of you.

Does anyone have a suggestion about how I can get a PIF from them? They told me they couldn't give me one even after I told them I was going to the BBB & AG. The women also told me she was sending me a copy of the agreement and a breakdown of fees but I have yet to receive it, not that it will matter much since I have overpaid and they are illegal here.
