which are store front and which are internet.

I am in the same boat. I am too ashamed to say how many I have. Both kinds. But the **** is about to hit the fan as I can not longer pay my other bills and I am comtemplating bankruptcy.
all I have paid is the weekly fees on both kinds and some I have been doing for years.
I want to know what to do first. I am trying the loan thing with no success...that is a consolidation loan.

Pamd2...sorry I do not mean to hijack your thread with my problems, I am truly interested if there is a company out there that will work with you to loan enough to pay off these people. I am just not very optimistic at this point.

Hi all and welcome. There are not companies that loan you the money to pay these pdls back. There are companies help but you have to pay them in addition to the pdls. Many of us here have worked hard to pay them ourselves and succeeded. If you all could give us the info about the pdls as asked above we can start to help you get control. If you want to investigate the companies that do debt consolidation there are two that I have seen here, Town and Country and Langhorne. If you type both names in the search box at top of this page you can read about other forum members experiences with them. Otherwise list the info and we will help you. Good luck to all of you and believe me when I say you are not dumb or another negative name. YOu are all good people that got sucked into this payday loan nightmare. You can get out and there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Be strong and hang in there but first of all stop calling yourselves names!!!

PostPosted: Fri Feb 15, 2008 7:05 am Subject: consolidating payday loans

As are many other people in today's society, I am in deep trouble with multiple payday loans. I have borrowed some money from family members but it has never been enough to pay them off completely or the timing has been wrong, and I remain in this stinking mess. Does anyone out there know if there is a way to access 401(k) money if your employee does not offer a loan program and hardship withdrawals are so strict (only several reasons they will let you take money out)? I know taking money from retirement is stupid but we have enough in there that by taking out just a small amount would rid me of this payday problem. Is there any legal way to access this 401(k) money?

Ivy, I can almost guess the members here are going to tell you not to take out of your 401, but do as they are telling me to do...come clean with who the companies are, work out payment plans...see my I don't know where to start thread. Maybe someone might be more knowledgeable about 401 K's

Ivy, we can help you here. Please do not take your 401k money out to pay these loans. Please tell us
who your lenders are, how much borrowed from each, how much repaid to each, which are store fronts , and which are internet, and what stste you live in.

I have both store front and internet. Loans totaling about 5000.00 and I live in the state of Utah. The finance charges are burying me.

zona, I'm going to post your state pdl law for us all to see. However, if you could please list out who your pdls are (distinguish between storefront and internet), how much you borrowed (principal amount only), and how much you have paid back so far (total), we can help you here. We have all been in the same situation. If you let us know who you are dealing with, we can help. You may actually be dealing with some illegal companies. If you feel comfortable, please list them. You can do this all on your own with our help. I did it and many, many others have done it. When I first came here, I had many internets and storefronts also. We're here to help.
