Wanted to share a little story with you. I went into a local rent a center the other day because I spotted a friend I hadn't seen for years browsing around in there. After greeting her and chatting a bit I noticed there was a Payday loan company in the corner amidst the merchandise, so I wandered over there out of curiousity. She (the manager) said hello and asked if there was something she could help me with (The Vultures anyhow!  ), I politely told her no. Then I asked the million dollar question (not what your thinking I bet). I asked her, "So, do you like your job?" (I couldn't resist  ) Her response, "I love it!" To which I said, "Gees, don't ya just hate when ya have to call these poor people who default on their loans?" She replied, "Nope, I love it, it gets my adrenaline going because these people KNOW they are wrong, and I think it's funny when they try to tell me they don't have the money to pay their loans, that's when I get mean with them and threaten them with court, I love my job!" 
Yeah, she loves her job. Guess ya have to be ruthless to work in that industry eh? Something for her parents to be proud of.

I hope one day she has a situation beyond her control and someone takes the same approach to her that she takes . . . . .

I drove past Rent-A-Center a few weeks ago and had to laugh about them doing payday loans now. It isn't bad enough you pay 100% in interest on their products now they are doing payday loans.
Its a shame to see her getting a kick on making someone's life even worse. I have no problems her acting that way on people who take them and have no intentions on paying them back. But, people fall on hard times and it doesn't help the problems anymore. Next week T&C will have another payday loan paid off, I think I have 5 left. Not bad, I had 12 when I first starting coming on this board.

Hopefully in 6 to 8 months I will be 100% debt free. Nothing outstanding on my credit report and no pdl's. Its been a long 6 months so far but I can start to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
