I got a call from a Chris from 866-489-0979 and he left a message saying I did something illegal in regards to my PNC checking account and I needed to contact him immediately to discuss etc..etc..
I called him back at the # 800-351-8820
I borrowed $100 months ago and paid about $150 on it.
He says I owe $200. I told him I wanted it marked paid in full per my letter (C&D and letter stating to revoke wages etc.. and my complaints to the BBB and AG) that he read back to me on the phone. He said I had no legal standing since the extra money tacked on where not fees, but extensions on a loan. He said there is nothing I can do and I need to pay up.
Forgot to mention he said something about since i took out the loan on the internet I have to pay.
After arguing for a few minutes he said they would accept $130 at the least and i needed to pay it today. I told him I would get back to him by 4pm ET today.
I wanted to run this by my friends in this forum.
I want to fight this thing..because I overpaid them!
How should I proceed?
PS - he said they only take debit cards for payments.... LOL

I wouldnt pay that. I dealt with them as well and they accepted $20 even though they owed me $520. BE CAREFUL THOUGH because I honestly think they went so low because they thought I was gonna pay with my real debit card lol but I really paid with a visa gift card.

You might want to contact the Federal Trade Commission. For my understanding, you have the right to get proof of a debt that you owe and they can not give you a time limit. I found this on a old posting that one of the moderators posted a while back.

I would never give my debit card info. The guy told me on my voice mail that I committed fraud and an illegal action by closing my bank account. I laughed at him and told him I closed it for personal reasons. He tried to act like a lawyer on the phone.
