Good morning I have been reading this site for about two weeks and just got up the nerve to write. I have payday loans via the internet, I said it out loud finally, I have paid in fees all that i owe to a few and only owe a minimal amount to the few I still owe but of course they still want more than I owe. Please help me don't know what to do or how to do it. Thank you

Paul is right about BIG, they are highly illegal, so you are done with them, cross them off your list! I am sorry to tell you this but in order to stop these companies from debiting your account you will need to close your bank account. But first read THIS..
I would advise you to open a new account somewhere else BEFORE you close this account, and do not let any of these pdl's know you are closing it until after it is closed and safe.

Sounds like you are on the right track Barbie, I haven't had time to research the other pdl's you have to see if they are licensed. I am at work, and won't be able to until later, perhaps someone else will jump in here and give you a hand. Take good care. Smile

you can do that,if you have AOL there is a feature that can ensure if they open it or not.it basically makes it a certified e-mail.there should be a box on the bottom of your e-mail screen,it says receipt requested.click that.it will make the receiver send a receipt to you.that will be your proof they got it.i don't know if any other provider besides AOL has this feature, but if have AOL send the e-mails this way.

Barbie, I can't find a license for Arrowhead to lend in your state. Anyone else? According to THIS they are very difficult to work with. I just wanted to forewarn you so you will have an idea of what you are dealing with, it seems that Arrowhead (based on previous posts at this forum) are notorious for threats and harrassment. Confused

Barbie, this is what I found on Web Payday, it's a post made by Cannr, here is the LINK for the post below in quotations. Smile

WebPayDay is not licensed. WebPayDay is not overseas. I can believe they already turned you over to collections, which would be an illegal collection agency. I have dealt with WebPayDay. I got it resolved through the BBB alone. I actually received a refund from WebPayDay. However, they "sold" my loan (which was overpaid, refunded, and closed) to a collection agency who tried to collect. God love them. I had to show this collection agency proof that WebPayDay was paid, I was refunded, and the account was closed. However, I filed complaints against the collection agency with all the agencies. You're not going to be in any "legal" trouble. These guys are the illegal ones. File your complaints ASAP. File against WebPayDay and also the collection agency. WebPayDay was quick to respond to the BBB and offer me a refund via email back and forth. They know they are illegal. Please file your complaints as soon as possible. And do not worry about getting into any "legal" trouble.

Question - Where are you looking for a license? I went to the SC website and don't see anywhere that you can search for a licensee . . .
