Payday lending is legal in the State of Louisiana. You should contact the Louisiana Office of Financial Institutions in order to find out if your payday lenders are licensed to operate in your state. If you find that they are not licensed to operate in your state, then check out the given page in order to deal with them: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com...-dealings.html .

I agree with Anna. If you find that the lenders are licensed to operate in your state, then you will be responsible for both the principal amount and interest. Otherwise, you are required to pay only the principal amount. I think the following link may help you in this regard: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com...-50states.html
By signing up for counseling session, your provided details (Name, Email ID and Phone No.) will be forwarded to the company advertising on the DebtCC. However, you have no obligation to use their services.
Some creditors and collection agencies refuse to lower the pay off amount, interest rate, and fees owed by the consumer.
Creditors/collection agencies can make collection calls and file lawsuits against the consumers represented by the debt relief companies.
Debt relief services may have a negative impact on the consumer's creditworthiness and his overall debt amount may increase due to the accumulation of extra fees.
The amount which the consumer saves with the use of debt relief services can be regarded as taxable income.
