If they do call you, just don't let them intimidate you. One of my credit card companies continues to call me even though I sent a letter asking to be contacted only via USPS or email. The first time they called after I knew they had received the letter, I asked to speak with a supervisor as soon as the collector said who she was. When the supervisor told me that they would continue to call despite my letter, I told him that I did not intend to discuss the account on the telephone. Since then, whenever they call, as soon as they say who is calling, I tell them that as I've previously informed them, I will no longer discuss the account on the telephone and I hang up.
Of course, wiht PDLs, if you refuse to talk to them, you might run the risk of them contacting your references.
I hope it works out for you! Good luck!
