I have not been threatened by these payday loan lenders, as I have always had the funds to pay for them, but I am finding myself with nothing left in my paycheck at the end of the week, and I can't do it anymore. I currently have 5 payday loans out, and don't even know where to begin to get these under control. I live in Maine, and have read the laws about payday loans, but I guess legallity isn't my problem, yet. I was just wondering if anyone knew a way I could consolidate these loans, or get them deffered for a period of time, just through the holidays or something... Anyways, here is a list of the internet payday loans I have taken out:
United Cash Loans-$360 with $90 due tomorrow Ameriloans-$360 with $90 due tomorrow Outback Bucks- $360 with $90 due tomorrow paycheck today-$200 with $60 due tomorrow we offer cash-$195 due in full tomorrow I really need immediate help, starting with what to do in order to not get this money withdrawn from my account tomorrow. Thanks! |

Unfortunatley you may not be able to stop them from coming out tomorrow. I will give you some info on what to do next. How much have you paid these companies including all fee's?

File the complaints online with the consumer bureau. You can find the link on the Maine website and go to Consumer Protection.
None of these are legal, licensed lenders in Maine. I just got done with dealing with 4 of my own. As long as you pay back the principal, the State will help. They did for me and I actually got a PIF from United Cash Loans, the do still have a cease and decist order in Maine. I am a Maine resident BTW. |

It won't hurt to go ahead and fax an ach revocation letter this morning--I sent one to them yesterday and they responded to me within the hour (by e-mail) stating that it had been revoked. As I also disputed my debt in the letter they have given me 7 days to reach an agreement with them--they might give you the same window--which would allow you to get your ducks in a row with your bank. You could also call your bank and ask them to do an immediate freeze on your account (this will probably mean talking to your branch manager, not someone with general customer service). The problem with that is you won't have access to your funds either.

Hi am,
Here is the letter you can use to send to the companies, you will need to tailor it for your situation. If you type the companies name in the search box you should find addresses for everyone. Now that you have closed your account, at least your funds are safe again & you can take care of these loans on your terms...were you able to find out how much you have paid them so far including the fee's?
