I just got another call today that they (I didn't tell them it was me) that they need to serve me a summons to go to court and where to do it or at my work. It is the same number they are giving me and it is a payday solutions and I am petrified that they are seriously going to serve me. It must be on the payday loans that I had and had to close my bank account just because of this and I honestly don't know if they are saying this to scare me or if they can actually serve me to go to court. They are calling my work and phone back to back. I know that it says that Maine is prohibited to take action I am scared what do I do? This is a different person that called and actually didn't give as much information as the first on did, but they are saying needing to serve me what if it wasn't me are they allowed to give that much information. I could seriously cry right now and my nerves are shot. Thank you for any help and what to do if they can't to leave me alone. The lady that called today did say that they have been trying to get ahold of me since Feb. but yet a man called me yesterday why didn't she mention that and the reference is the same and same #.

This is an idle threat to get you to pay them. I had the same thing happen a month or so ago. Told them I would be the person wearing the red suit! Just another scare tactic.

they are throwing this empty threat(yes empty threat)to try and eventually scare money out of you.nobody will call ahead to try and serve anybody.btw they not only broke the law with that threat, but by giving you that info as you said you were not the person they are seeking also broke the law.file a police report for the call, and use any numbers to file AG,AND FTC complaints.then do not talk to them.just know that is a threat that bottomfeeders use to scare,or try to scare money out of people.

I am so scared I have kids and married. My husband gets said calls to (just not at my work like me) and he isn't worried but I am making myself sick that I will have to go to court and it isn't like I meant to close my bank account but they were companies I never applied to that was putting money in my account and then triple coming out and I had no number to call them. I would just die if they came to my work.

Just relax. I know it's scary. Next time they call, just hang up, or better yet tell them you've reported their phone number for harassment.

Thank you SO much for your help. I just don't understand why they sare ppl I understand to a point but I again have kept the messages from some of them and they say at the end that you have offically been notified. How do I (please I hope I don't sound stupid) but how do I file an AG and FTC? I am totally not sure what one is calling only the number that they give me to call to findout what it is about.. The number they give me is 1-877-833-7445 and they give me the case number but I am too scared to call them to see who/what it is. Unfortuantly I am an easy target because I am too nice and get all nerved up

depends on your state some AG'S let you file complaints online,as for the FTC complaint www.ftc.gov will let you file online.now save those tapes and play them for your local police when your file the report for the harrassment.
