I too am wiht a debt management company who told me to stop payments. You should also call your bank and explain the situation and ask them to stop payments all all the checks you wrote or all ACH drafts. THey will continue to call you and your references most likely. Are these storefromt or internet pdl?
Mine are storefront. I ended up getting a payment arrangement on my own with two of the five companies that i had pdl loans through. If they offer you one, i would accept it and let your management company take them off your contract. With the other twom, they refused to work with me and continued to call me, my work and all my references, so on the advice of the dmc, i sent certified cease and desist letters to them, and told them all furthur communication to the dmc. The company im with told me that they will make an offer to the pdl companies and work out a monthly plan. However call the company that youre with and ask them if they have made any progress and what happens next, as every company works a little differently.

Woot
Pay day loans are not legal in the state of mass. You do not need to use a consolidation company. This can be done on your own. Please read the sticky regarding dealing with illegal pay day loans.
You are only obligated to repay the principle amount borrowed . All fees and interest go toward that balance.

The guest above is correct. I wouldn't pay a debt settlement company to negotiate with illegal lenders. CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.
