I have a $250.00 dollar loan with them and have paid $54.00 so far. I have contacted the State of Michigan and found that they are not license, what shall I do next?
Thank you,

Just pay the principal loan amount. Since they are not licensed in your state, they are not allowed to charge interests and fees. Ask for a PIF letter once you have paid off the loan principal.

I am also in Michigan, and I also dealt with payday ok. They were pretty easy to deal with. There is a terrific letter on Polly's blog, as well as licensing info. Go check it out, her blog will help you out a ton.

Have you emailed/faxed them a letter stating that they are not licensed to lend in your state? If you haven't, please do. Tell them what your state law maximum is for a pld - if they were licensed - which they are not. Tell them the amount you will pay them, according to your state law. They might be easy to work with and agree to the principle amount. That would be fine. However, I would still (if you haven't already) file complaints against the company for their illegal lending in your state.
