Cash Central
I am in Minnesota and know from what I have read that Cash Central is legal. I defaulted on a payday loan last January.
Through a debt management program I have been making payments. I have disputed through the AG office and got a response from them. They are saying that I still owe them $795. Which is the original loan amount. They are not reporting the $125 in payments I have made through the debt management plan, which I have cancelled checks as proof. They want $175 a month to pay off (not happening). They never sent me anything in writing whatsoever, no list of payments, history nothing. Do I do a DV to at least get that. They state they follow all debt collection practices. Any ideas on what I should do now. I do not have the money to pay them at $175.00 a month. Do I stick to the debt management plan. |

Inform the debt management company, you're paying them to deal with situations like this.

I will do that. I was just going through bank statements and I borrowed $600, the fee was $150.00. I made $425.00 in payments so the amount that should be owed on it is $325.00. I can't see Cash Central going for that since they say I owe them $795.00.

I just relooked at my bank statement for Cash Central and I borrowed 600 fee was 150 for a total of 750. I paid $275 on 2/6 $150 on 2/20 and another $125 to debt management. The combined total leaves me only owing Cash Central $200.00.
Do you think with the documentation and a response from the AG they will agree with that? |

most likely not.keep in mind they are illegal for a reason.they just don't care about the law.your AG should keep them in line though.

Is Cash Central a online lender or storefront?

Cash Central is a legal online payday lender. You need to call them and set up an EPP they were fairly easy to work with when I dealt with them. Once the plan is set up all interest will stop. I would deal with them separate from your DM program especially if Cash Central did not agree to participate. JMO
