I have a payday loan through Zip19 for $850. I was unable to pay them on my last check and now am getting calls from them. I tried to make an arrangment to pay 1/2 on my next check and 1/2 on the check after that. They are unwilling to make any kind of arrangment. What should I do. They are telling me that they will contact my employeer about garnishing wages. They already called to verify my employment.

What they are referring to is a wage assignment. All you need to do is send them an email revoking their right to any and all wage assignments you may or may not have signed. Print it out and show it to your employer. That stops it asap! Also, you need to either place a hard debit block on your account or close it asap! Zip is an illegal lender. Pdl's have to be licenced in Minnesota now so all you have morally have to pay is the principal back. If they give you problems, contact the AG's office.
