Hi Ann and welcome! It would be a great help if you would start your own topic and provide the following information:
-Names of each pdl company.
-Whether they are store front or Internet.
-How much you borrowed.
-How much you paid so far.
-The state in which you reside.

I have been receiving calls from Affidaivit Consolidation Service(coolection agency or something) about me defaulting on a payday loan--saying I borrowed $300 but I have to pay back $508 to settle out of court. They are Indian accent guys and the number shows up on my phone as 011000000000 but then they leave me a message with another number. I think they are from the Florida area but I haven't been able to find anything out on them other than all the comments that they are scammers.

I'm kinda lost, upset and nervous about this threat of going to court and all. Can someone help me ease my mind with this. I looked at my bank statements and it doens't show anything deposited from the company they are representing (Advanced Cash USA)--that's who they say I have the loan with.

So, can someone give me some advice on what to do?

Thanks

I have been receiving calls from a collection agency called Affidavit Consolidation Service, they are calling for Advanced Cash USA. They say I took out an online payday for $300 but if I want to not be served or go to court I can pay $508.

I looked at my bank statements and there is nothing showing from this company. the number that shows up on my phone is 011000000000 but they leave me another number to call...it shows up as a Tampa, Florida number. They have Indian accent with American names.....

I'm very nervous, worried, and scared about this but like I said there isn't anything showing up on my bank statements.

Can you help me with this issue? The only thing I can find about ACS is negative comments on-line. No address or phone number other than what they give you.

Can I be served papers, got tp jail?

Please, I need some advice.

The answer is no, you can't go to jail for owing a debt! Will they serve you papers, the chances are slim to none. Next time they call, tell them they need to follow the FDCPA collection laws and send you a letter of collection thru the mail, otherwise you have nothing more to say and have no idea what they are talking about. If they continue to call, don't answer it or hang up, don't even give them the time of day, the more you talk and argue with them, the more they will call you.

I have been receiving calls from Affidavit Consolidation Service, they are representing Advance Cash USa. They're saying I took a loan out for $300 but if I want to keep it from to court I could pay $508. the so called loan was taken done in June 2009--my bank statements do no show that a deposit from Advance Cash USa. They are Indiand speaking accents with American names. I've done research on ACS on the web and there's nothing but bad comments......mostly saying they are scammers. They are saying I will be served papers and have to go to court if I don't pay it.

Can someone tell me if this ACS is for real? The number shows up as 0110000000000 and then they leave me a voicemail with another numeber 813-319-2653.

Loast , scared and confused. I'm from Mississippi......they said I took it on-line, but I did take some out on-line just not with this company.

Thanks

It doesn't even sound real to me, but if they are they will follow the FDCPA. Before they can serve you papers to go to court they will need to send you a dunning letter (letter of collection) in the mail, this should have been done within five days of their first initial contact with you, according to the federal laws. I would not negotiate or believe anything by anyone via a telephone conversation, I request everything in writing, it's your right.
