Posted: Thu Sep 20, 2007 9:52 am Subject: Cash Today & Cash Today Limited?

Can anyone tell me if Cash Today and Cash Today Limited are the same company? I have been having money deducted from my checking account since June for a payday loan from Cash Today. I get a call today from someone from Cash Today Limited saying to call them because my bank account that I have on file with them has been closed. I have not closed any bank accounts.Just wondering if this is the same company. Thanks for the help

It sounds to me like an attempt at fraud. Someone is trying to get your info. Do not call them back.

I did a search on line and Cash Today Limited is based in Great Britain with a mail drop in Reno. They are bad news. How much have you borrowed from them and how much have you paid them back. They appear to be the same company. You may have to close that account and open a new one. Do not speak with them. They are the worst at harrassment.

Thanks for getting back to me so quick. I live in NJ. I paid them back $675 and I owe them $1000. I never cal them back. When they call me in work,the people that I work with always tell them that I am not there.

What was the amount of the original loan? Do you have any others? Payday loans are illegal in New Jersey so you are only obligated to pay them back the original principal. Do these people that call have Indian or Middle Eastern accents? By the way I am from NJ but live in Florida now.

Another one of their DBA's is Cash Today 4U. And they are bad news. Their MO is to call you constantly a million times a day, until you crack. I know they are telling you an amount that they say you owe, but how much was your actual loan for and how much did you pay? Was your actual loan for $1000 and you've paid $675?

Yes, they did have Indian accents. And yes, total amount was for $1000 and I have paid back $675.Just keeping an eye on how much is coming out of my account.

Pay them back 325.00 and maybe 10 percent more if you wish but no more than that. They are operating illegally here and have no means of collecting leegally except by threatening you with arrest and other things they can't do. Once they start just file a complaint with the FTC. There are already dozens of complaints about them. Make sure you close that account and open a new one or they will just keep taking money even after you have paid them. Get there mailing address from the BBB website and pay them only by money order. If they don't agree then don't pay them at all until they do. They will eventually go away when they realize that you can't be intimidated.

Here is the address they use. It's a US "drop box", but the mail does get to them. Send any correspondence certified.

And also keep copies of all documentation sent to them. They tried to tell me that I hadn't paid anything to them, when I had copies of all checks sent showing that they had cashed and endorsed the checks on the back when I was paying them off.

I am finally all paid up with Cash Today.I checked my account and they have actually taken about $200 out more than I owe. I called my bank and put a stop on all further transactions from them.As soon as I did,now my phone is ringing off the hook.Does anyone know how I can stop them from calling me and calling here in work every single day? Thanks for the help.
