|
|
|
I've got an odd question. One of my PDL's has agreed to refund all the money charged beyond the princple amount, which is quite cool. The issue I have is what form of payment to accept, since I want to make sure that they have absolutely no way of getting my new account info (just in case). So, what would those of you with experience on getting refunds from these folks recommend as a payment method, i.e. cashier's check, money order, etc.?
Thanks

I would request either a cashiers check or money order and just to be safe do not cash it with your new bank, take it to a party store, meijer, etc. and just pay the check cashing fee.

They're refunding everything I paid above and beyond the principle amount. Turns out some of the illegal companies actually are afraid of people filing complaints! I was shocked how quickly they rolled over.

Refunds are an exception not the rule but they do happen. I received three from my nine pdls.

So Nick, which PDL company do you work for?
I don't feel the least bit guilty about getting the money back. It doesn't even begin to cover the cost of the NSF fee's that racked up thanks to the PDL's, not to mention the endless phone calls to work and at home, the hassle of having to switch banks, and lets not forget the pleasure of not being able to afford food or rent because the PDL companies drained your checking account before you even had a chance to see a paycheck.
They made the choice to avoid obtaining a license and operating within the law. At least I'll have the satisfaction of knowing they didn't make any money off of me.

yeah don't borrow money if you don't want to pay the fee's, read the contracts and don't take 10 pd loans and want free money..
