Cash Net USA is a legal CSO in Texas. You will have to make arrangements to pay them back.

Paycheck Today, Impact Cash, BIG, and GFS are not licensed pdl's or CSO's in Texas. They are not lending legally.

I wish they would have never made such a thing as a payday loan, advance or anything else like it. Life happens to us all and we look for help and then we have companies like this that just rob us...at least that is how I feel. I get close to paying them off and then something happens and I can't. It a cycle I want to break but just don't know how. I have read many post on this site and tried to do the things they say but my problem is I fear debt collectors, people taking me to court, warrants out for my arrest or losing my job. It's like I live in fear everyday and I want out. So I am hoping that the people that have gone through this can help me.

You will have to take the jump - It's the only way out, aside from winning the lottery.

Believe me, you won't go to jail. As long as you pay the legal lenders first, you won't go to court.

You will get calls from debt collectors, but dont worry, you will be able to handle them.

You can tell your employer now that you just found out your identity was stolen. That way if any of these places call your work, they will not think it's really for you.

Ok this I why I get scared.

I just received a phone from a guy name Robert said he is with US Bank and that I was going to be charged with 3 counts and that I was going to be arrested. They say it was for a loan that I took out on 2-4-05 Quik Payday. I know that I had a loan with Quick Payday and I can't remember if I paid it off. I had correspondance with Quik payday when I default and I was going to file bankrupcty at the time. I didn't file and I don' t know if I paid. They did give me the address but asked me why i was going to come see them. Said I had 1 hour to return the call and give my attroney information.

What do I do?

I don't think anyone can give you a time limit such as one hour. that to me makes it sound fishy. I have just written a letter by hand which I intend to send out by certified mail(you gotta make 'em sign for it) stating that I will only work with them through the mail at this particular address. I will pay them.(never say that you don't intend to pay anything. They can take it out of context) and that unforeseen circumstances has made me take Longer to pay back my loan (in my case I lost my job when it closed it's doors unexpectedly)

You should check out the letter section on the front page of this website. you should do the verification of debt one, for that particular lender. Fax it if he calls again to him (always keep a copy in a folder of all you pdl)

There is no way to get out of a legal payday loan. It's a legal debt, and they can take steps to collect.

For an unlicensed company, it depends on the state.

That being said, you cannot go to jail for defaulting on a loan. This collection agency is just trying to scare you into paying them right away.

I'm not trying to get out paying anything legal or illegal I want to get a handle on the payday loans I have and figure out how to pay them off without having to get a new one. I just do not know the process on how to find out if they are legal or illegal, and when they are illegal how to pay them off on my terms not theirs. I just want out of the cycle of payday loans and I just do not know the process to do it and be able to pay them off without losing my home, job and everything else.

I know...I'm desperate and emotionally drained from having payday loans run my life.

I know - It's hard.

Do you have all the contracts for the loans still? If so, please look at them and see if any of them (besides Cash Net USA) say anything about being a CSO or Credit Service Organization.

The Cash Advance Network, Paycheck Today and Impact Cash do not say anything that I can see about CSO or Credit Service Organization. I do not have a contract for BIG or GFSIL. And Money Mart is a store front.

PostPosted: Wed Sep 03, 2008 6:24 am Subject: pay day loans

I had a pay day loan a few years ago, and I received a call that I was going to be turned over to the DA's office. I paniced and paid off the loan. A few months ago I started getting calls from "Legal collectors" threatening me with arrest, etc. I called the DA's office here and told her I had paid my loan, but had no proof at this time. They had not been contacted by anyone, and I was told this was probably a scam. Some unsavory companies buy pay day loan information pennies on the dollar and then call to see how much they can get. If you are paying your loans, or have paid off the loan, this is probably a scam. If they will not give you the name of the bank the pay day loan was deposited to, or the amount of the loan, I would just hang up on them. My last call, I asked for the phone number they were calling from, and the name of the company and they wouldn't give it to me.

Well all I guess I will be arrested tomorrow. Marilyn Cruz from Legal Affidavit Department has been calling me on a loan from Quik Payday (Im in texas) that I suppose took out 3-31-05 for 525. I did take out a loan from Quik not sure the date but it was for 300.00 not 525. She is calling from 813-283-0473 and the address she gave me was 3704 Quixote Dr Tampa, Fl 33613. Today when she called I asked for written documentation of the payday loan and she said she couldn't provide that because it was an internet loan. Also I could not get any documentation until I payday by Money Gram, Credit card or debit card. She did not like when I said money order. I told her she was in valiation of FTC by not providing me information on the debt. Well she called back I didn't answer and she left my SSN all except the last number and said she would be filing charges. Well I called back and a Ray Flick answered he said he was with Morgan Assocates but didn't answer Morgan Associates I had to asked. Same phone number 813-283-0473 I asked for his address and I got 1408 Bayview Court Ft Meyer, FL 33901 and he was a Restitution officer. He started talking and I just hung up. The funny thing is on 9/8/08 a Robert Called from 772-228-4016 and he said US Bank and was calling for payday loan on 2-4-05 from Quik Payday and his address is 1408 Cottner Dr Ft Meyers, FL 33901. Well when I was talking to Marilyn Cruz today I mentioned that someone else had called about Quik Payday loan on 2-4-05 and she wanted to know who it was and kept asking. I have filed another complaint with FTC on them today and on with AG. And the lady from FTC said with in 5 business days of contacting me they are to send me something in writing. But of course I can't get anything until I pay in full based on Marilyn Cruz. Anyway...so I guess I will be in jail....any suggestions on what to do?

I did look up the reverse address and the 1408 Bayview is for Ft Meyers Interactive Video Conferencing Center, no results found for 1408 Cottner dr and 3704 Quixote Dr came back listing 3 as apartments and 2 of the names (households are together).
