I am in a payday loan nightmare. Someone told me Internet payday loans are legal in la. I am closing my checking acct tomorrow. I know that is the first step, but I want to make sure they can't legally do anything to me. I am more than willing to pay what I owe, but I have paid I've 2000 dollars to some that I only borrowed 500 from. Am I just up a creek without a paddle or is there something I can do.

pdl's are legal, but an internet lender must be licensed to lend.i can tell you from your other post that you overpaid eastside as they are not legal in LA.now i need the following.

1)names of your other lenders
2)amount borrowed from each
3)amount debited by each in fees thus far

yes you need to close your account as chances are you have illegal lenders.please provide the info requested and we can help further.

here is what you and who you owe.

eastside 120.00(take the overpayment on the previous loan and apply it here)
fast e 60.00
123 42.00
american 30.00

everybody else you waaaaaay overpaid.get to the sticky ohiogal created at the top of this very forum and follow it.do not skip steps as closing your current account is the first and most important step.again all are illegal and those are the lenders and amounts you really owe.stop the cycle and get these leeches out of your life.

I myself am in a bind. I got a loan of 100.00 from another payday company. But somehow my information was leaked out and power funding deposited as well without my knowledge. Know 4 years later I have them trying to collect money I never even signed up for. So I thinking about setting up a class action suit against them. Seeing I'm not the only one. Plus there is no direct number to contact them. Sounds like a scam to me. So do you think I hapeople behind me???

if you submit a wage assignment revocation letter, and this person honors it they open up the company to a lawsuit by you.unless it's court ordered they have to reject any wage assignments.if you have to go over their heads do it.
