I just got off the phone with AMC (mortgage company's collection branch). I can't make my payment on time (not a new problem this past 6 months but I am working on situation). Anyway, they suggested that I take out a Payday Loan! I have agreed to make an extra payment next month already, so how am I going to make that payment, all my other bills and pay off a payday loan?

Just had to post this idiocy!

Talk about selfish unprofessionalism. I am apalled. A mortgage company suggesting for you to take a payday loan! That is insane! So next month when you have to pay the payday loan and you can't pay your mortgage company, will they ask you to take out another payday loan.
Get to the right person in your Mortgage Company and explain your situation to them and tell them you would like a loan modification. That is where they take your past due and place it at the back of your loan. It will extend your loan but it will bring you current. If that does nor work there are many other companies that would take that mortgage right now. Regardless if you are a little behind. As long as it looks profitable to them. You don't have an interest only do you? Write them and tell them that you want to be current. No mortgage company in this declining market, unless you live in Hawaii or San Fransico or Manhattan, wants to forclose and have to sell a property in a soft market.

I can top that one.....my BANK suggested I take out a payday loan when someone gave me a bad check (which I deposited, which then caused MY checks to bounce).

That's how I got into the whole PDL mess to begin with ....advice straight from my bank.
