Can you give me a list, out of what payday loans I gave you, and let me know which ones I will be sending a letter to, and which ones I will be asking for payment arrangement with? That would be a huge help. And if you could send me a sample letter of what I need to send to the illegal ones.

The only one that is on your list that is licensed somewhere else that I know of is Cash Net USA. It's possible a couple others are also licensed elsewhere, but I don't know for sure.

One is Cash Net USA, and the other is CashNet. Does that sound right, at least that is what is coming through my account.

Okay, yes it does. Cash Net USA is the legal one.

Cash Net is evil! It's either Cash Net 500, Payday Loan Yes, Global Payday, do any of those names sound familiar?

I can tell you that Geneva Roth, MTE, Crown Lending, ameriloan, Power Funding, One Click Cash, and Paycheck Today are all illegal, not licensed anywhere.

Back to MTE. They are relentless for a while and then will sell you to a collector who will give up when sent a validation letter asking all the right questions about interest licensing etc. Then you will be sold to the next one etc. I am on my second CA with them and will be sending a validation letter this week.

Cash Net 500 (Payday Loan Yes) is really nasty. They even fought with my state regulators! But they did eventually leave me alone and mark me PIF. It just takes a lot of time and energy.

Closing your account and making sure it is protected has to be the first step. If you do anything else first, the pdl's will hit your account as fast as they can.

You will also need to file complaints against all the companies that are operating illegally with your state DFI, AG's office, and the BBB.

Most of them will be relentless, meaning they will threaten you, harrass you, lie to you, etc, all to try to get you to pay more then you legally owe them.
