I cant wait to see what happens in Colorado! They may have to actually prove their tribal affliation and not just SAY they are! Im right there with ya - they are at the top of the list. Which means they'll fall the hardest !!!

Cannr,
Got your email, thank you so much. They just called me and left a message offering to reduce some of the fees. Haven't even sent anything out yet, dealing with some other major more immediate problems, like being evicted, but can't wait to use your letter and see what happens, especially if they are already offering to reduce. Although, that in and of itself is weird, right? I wonder why they are doing that? Could it be because they know they are illegal?

pitts! So glad to hear from you! I'm sorry about your other situation. That bites. And, you're very welcome for the letter! Use it, use it, use it! Take care of your more pressing business first, of course! And, yes, they might be sending you emails wanting to "settle" for reduced amounts because they know they can not LEGALLY collect. It happens quite a bit. Whenever you get the chance (and these illegal idiots can wait), send the letters to them. In the meantime, make sure your "real" life is taken care of, my friend. If you need ANYTHING, you just let me know!

ozmentc, do you have a pdl with MTE? If so, which one of their d/b/a's are they using? Or are they using their MTE name? Can you tell us how much you borrowed (principle amount only) and how much you have paid back?
