|

|
Hi,
Going through my credit report I noticed that my cash now has hired two collection agencies to collect the same debt. The collection agencies are National Credit Adjusters and Seattle Service Bureau. I am going to dispute this through the credit bureau but I am not sure how I explain that this item is not a valid debt since it is illegal in Texas. No one can collect this debt. Any suggestions?
Thanks!!

Did you ever get anything in writing from either of them?
Definitely dispute via the credit bureau...reason is that they never validated the debt or sent you anything in writing per the fdcpa.

Thanks, I also found out that in the state of Texas they have to be licensed and I know they are not licensed. I will send that a long with your suggestion. No I never received anything saying that it went to collections and on my credit report. I have been trying to get things cleaned up and was surprised that this appeared.
