Internet's first get-out-of-debt community - 136,000 members

the letter said they tried several times to contact mypaydayloan.com and was unsuccessful, therefore, they can't do anything. They said I could pursue action against them in small claims court if needed.

I paid my paydayloan.com $600 on a $500 loan and they say I owe them $575. Now, I just got a letter from Detexagency saying they are collecting on behalf of mypaydayloan.com for $800.

These people are ridiculous.

I am going to call the agent on the letter from the AG office in the morning and tell them about the collection letter and see if they can do something. Also, I will sent a DV letter to Detex tomorrow.

That IS just ridiculous, have you filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission too? The link for that is in my signature.
