I do not have time to read all this right now, so I am hoping that I am not repeating anything that anyone else has already said...

First PDL's are illegal here in NC (I am in NC also)

As far as your bank is concerned, you need to write a letter and send it via email or USPS telling them you are revoking your authroization to debit you account. Make sure you include all the information you gave then when getting the loan, which is the name of your bank and account number. Make sure you let them know you found out that they are operating illegally in the state of NC. In the letter include that you revoke any authorization you gave them to contact you references etc.

Take a copy of this to your bank. If nothing else, until you can get the new account established (which I recommend at a different bank), show them this letter and fill out some paperwork they give you. Keep an eye on your account and when you see these debits on there, go right to the bank and have them reversse the transaction. Most of the time they can do this, but they do have to have a copy of the letter you sent to these people on file, and you need one for each company. But get that bank situation taken care of ASAP or they will eat you alive.

Glad you got things going for you. Like I said, hang in there!!! It is tough to start with but the fight is worth it to be out from under those things.

I have to admit I was worried about the bank and how that would go ....I came in to work today and the first thing I did was check. Love, the one thing everyone here will do is provide support. We have all been in your shoes and we all know the feelings of lonliness and deperation. I was afraid of everything when I found this site and now I am helping others. Please enjoy the rest or your day and that KFC. Laughing

Some people have been successful in getting refunds. I actually got a few. However, they will mainly try to just give you a "paid in full" and not give you a refund. I fight for refunds; however, many people are just happy to get it marked "pif" and have them out of their life. Which is a good thing! But it never, ever hurts to demand a refund if you've overpaid. You may not get it, but at least you addressed the fact that you've overpaid.
