I live in a state where pdl's are legal, nebraska, I have contacted all (7) that I dont have the funds to rewrite and that they would have to cash the checks. does anybody know if i face jail time? not as one person told me it was a felony, and the check would be going to the county attorney. I want to pay them off, but cant all at once.

were these internet or storefront?i'm guessing internet because you debts are civil matters, and a legal storefront won't tell you it's a felony to default on a pdl.please list the following.

names of each pdl
amount borrowed from each
amount debited by each include rollovers and fees.

we can help you further from there.

I too am from Nebraska and have posted here before. I have just got my letters from NE B & F. I typed a brief synposis ofone on this web site, but don't know where it went. Basically, they sent letters to: EZPayDayCash, MyCashNow, Amerloan, 500FastCash, and PayDayMax. Basically, not licensed and NE and B & F wants to know under what authority then loan. Also told them not to loan to NEbraskans until investigation is complete. Need to respond by July 6, 2009 and no extension of time. Am I on the right track. Been to the bank, account will be closed on Tuesday (an insurance payment is coming out first) Do I now send the C & D letter (revocation letter) Please advise. Haven't heard from anyone lately.

have the storefronts mentioned the felony?all the internet pdl's are illegal.you need to contact the storefronts and see what you can work out.they can sue so get with them asap.the internets will fight you all the way.can you recall how much was borrowed and debited by each.AMERILOAN AND 500fastcash are MTE and totally illegal.if you paid the principle on any of those you owe nothing more.go to the fifth syicky at the top of this forum.it will show you how to deal with illegal lenders.again,yo need to contact the storefronts and work out an arrangement with them.if they are CFSA members and it looks like they are,and if you haven't defaulted yet ask the manager about the EPP(extended payment plan.it basically breaks the loan into 4 equal payments, and interest is stopped.look into that option too.
