I first want to thank Kyside for turning me onto some wonderful news and an article. THANK YOU.
And this gives those from OH reason to be proud. Our govenor, who oposes pdls, is putting legislators to the task of enacting laws to place CAPS on pdls which will run them out of business here in the Buckeye State, the cap would be set at 36% driving pdls OUT OF TOWN AND OUT OF THE STATE. So keep your eyes open for this new law to be passed, it will be wonderful news for those who get trapped in the pdl cycle.

That is wonderful news! So what is the current cap now? Make it so they can't make insane profits and drive them out!

Kscornell, from what I've seen the current rate is 390%, that will be one h e l l of a blow to their profits, and the goal is to run them out of the state! Yes.

I know, how sad I am for him. Maybe he will run into some of his cutomers that he has driven to the welfare office, wouldn't it be funny seeing him pay for his food with a food stamp card, give 'em a taste of what they go through. I have absolutely no sympathy for these folks who operate these businesses, because you know they are praying on those who live in deprived areas and are already struggling, taking advantage of the disadvantaged.

I would love to see on the news an expose of where these company owners live, how many homes they have, what they drive, etc. I would really like to see that...and it would make us all sick, I know!

There is also good news for folks residing in Oregon, they can expect their state to follow in Ohio's footsteps soon, by enacting legislation capping the pdl interest rates at 36%.

For those who are from Oregon and are curious about the bill which passed it is Bill 2204 which limits pdl rates to 36%.

I'm not sure when or if it has already gone into effect. I do know that legislators have passed the bill.
