help with PDLs in Oregon

No, even if they are licensed in their state it doesn't matter. Oregon recently passed a law specifically saying they must be licensed in Oregon to lend in Oregon, regardless of their location.

Update - good news (I think) ...bad news. manager looked at my account. I am currently overdrawn. I had two items that hit my acct. on friday that i was concerned would get returned. Manager said they were paid, which i was really worried about. said he would put a Hard Hold (i think that is what it is called) on the account. was told that i could not close acct. until i had a + balance (which i already knew) asked about NSF fees when the acct has a hold on it, he didn't know and was going to call me back later. had to go to a meeting and didn't get back until after closing. Something made me check my account and when i did the two items were returned. I know when i go back to the bank tomorrow to discuss this, i am going to be told they have no control over those items that were returned. Options? Suggestions? I am half afraid they are going to tell me that they can't put a hard hold on the acct. I am not going to give up but it sure upset me when i got home to see my acct. Called Mike in Salem gone for the week.

Right now i feel like i make one step forward and 8 steps back. The one item that was returned was my water bill and the City is not real forgiving. If Had they paid the two items, i didn't have any problems with the NSF Fee, because at least, they would have been taken care of and i could feel better about getting the other things done that need to be done and also concentrate at work. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just hang in there . . . . It will work out. Talk to the water company, explain that there was some fraud going on with your bank account, and ask them for an extention. Tell them all your funds are tied up at the moment.

I will go talk to them and the bank again and see what they say.

went to bank today and got the too bad so sad story. Called the City and needless to say they are not too happy. I did say i would be in to make payment on bill. Received 48 hour shut off notice of which the lady didn't say anything about when i called so when i go to make payment tomorrow will ask about that. Am going to get started on the letters tonight if i can get printer hooked up without blowing up the house.
