In 2006 I got a bit tight on my money, and well, had to get a payday loan. I hate these things, but this place offered to pay it back in installments instead of one lump sum, so I figured I could get back ahead allot quicker this way.

I initally borrowed $400. With fee's and interest and everything else they charged me, I had already made almost $500 in payments., then my account went negative, so that account was closed. I called this payday loan place to let them know this; I didn't want it to go on my credit (which it never did btw),and wanted to just get it paid and be done. WELL that couldnt' happen.
The first girl I talked to stated that I would have to call another 800 # to pay my balance. At this time, my Dad had taken over my bills to get rid of my debt. So he called them, He offered them PayPal acct # or credit card to pay off the total (which is some how now, $700!!), they said OK, then came back on the line, and said no, sorry, we can only take acct # 's and do a direct withdraw from your bank. My dad, of course, being smarter then I had been, wouldn't do this, so we called the originally 800 # back. We got another lady who stated this number was "Not legit" and she'd find out who gave it to me, and get back to us. Which she never did until a month later. At this time, my Dad stated that if they would fax or mail the paperwork we'd get it paid right away; of which they refused, stating they couldn't send anything in writing > (Why if they are a legit company??)

So my dad said, well, if they are for real, lets take them to court. Well keep all the paperwork b/c we did everythign we could to take care of this debt.

I get harassing phone calls still. For the last 2 years at MY WORK they call here. They say the cops are coming to take me to jail, they have a warrant for my arrest. I say, go ahead, I'd love to get this taken care of. But they won't stop. This week it has gotten worse. They have called daily, 6-7 times a day. My boss is ready to fire me. They say lued comments like "pussy bitch" and "I smell pussy you bitch" > Its some Indian guy. I really would like to pay any debt I owe, but I WILL NOT be abused like this. This has gone on too long.

We've called the police and made a report, we've called the phone company. Since they are out of state (we are in Ohio), they say there is really nothing that they can do.

I'm SOO over this. I jsut want them to leave me alone, and I dont want to loose my job. Do I contact some government officials? What do I do??

it sounds like US NATIONAL BANK rearing there thick accented heads again.file FTC complaints as well as AG complaints.they are in INDIA,have your boss tell these losers you no longer work there,they drove you out.do not talk to these people any longer.they are A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Follow Pauls advice. They have no legal power in this country. Tell them where to go and how to get there and hang up. They will eventually move on!

Hmm, I agree that is most likely those US National Bank CLOWNS at it again!! Do not fear, because they do not have a legal leg to stand on. You will be fine. I advise changing all your contact numbers ASAP!! Best of luck and keep your head up Wink
