It seems everyone here knows a lot about this number here... EXPRESCASH 8008596439 This is what is listed exactly on my bank account followed by a charge for 31.29. Of course when I called the number it said they are only open Monday - Friday, but I do not recognize anything. I never received a payday loan from this company or any other loan. I do have two outstanding payday loans with two very different companies that we have spoken to, but those loans are currently being paid on, and I'm familiar with the transactions. If anyone can help shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated. I hope I've posted in the right section.

A lot of PDL's have different DBA names and sister companies...I had one PDL get approved and the next thing I knew two diff companies put the monies in my account...after I found this site I realized that its a way to scam people for more money. You may want to go back thruogh any old bank statements and see if they ever put any money in your account

I've been through everything and the only ones are the two I'm working with right now. I've tried to get another one on the recommendation of my mortgage company but they've said that since I'm self employed they cannot give me one. So, I'm stuck at I don't know who this company is and why they have debited my account.

You may have to wait until Monday and contact them...but to warn you, they will probably give you grief about giving your informatin stating that you should have it or they will say that when you took out your PDL and signed the contract you gave their company authorization to debit your account for a service (one that you probably have never recieved)

You may have to take care of this through your bank, you can file a dispute on the charge, it won't cost you a thing. Just go to your bank and explain that you don't recognize it and they will have you complete the appropriate paperwork and put the funds back into your account.

Sheila, do you mind putting the names of the other two pdl companies you have the loans from? We will check for their DBA names. Don't forget to dispute the unauthorized debit with your bank. They will verify with the company and get the reasons for debiting money from your account. If it's not authorized, the transaction will be reverted back.
A general information, be sure to check your credit report regularly. This will give you list of all accounts you opened using your name and social security number. If you find any inaccurate information on your report, contact the credit bureau immediately to avoid future problems.

Welcome to the netherworld that is the Kansas lending community. DMS Marketing uses about a dozen different names to make loans, including Loan Shop. Then the same owners have Westbury Ventures, which does collections for all of the DMS accounts and also buys (or at least claims to buy) delinquent loans from Arrowhead. Then they ship all of the loans to Bass in Florida to collect on them. Having all those different names helps them get around stop payments at the bank. For example, if you put a block on ACH's from Arrowhead, six months later you could have debits on your account from Loan Shop, since your bank won't recognize it as a blocked transaction AND companies doing debits don't have to prove they have your permission until after the fact, assuming you file a fraud affidavit.
Best bet is to close your account so they can't get in there. And then be careful not to give out your new account since some of these companies (see the threads on Geneva Roth) will debit your new account if they can find it.

I agree too! I have seen many threads from Freaky Friday as of late and have been impressed with the information he/she has given out! Please join us-we would love to have you.
Sheila, I really agree that you should close your old account and open another at a different bank. That is the only way that you can keep your account safe-just don't give out the new account info to anyone!!!!

I might also add that if you didn't authorize this debit, the bank must do an investigation within 45 days from when you file a complaint.

If you do close the bank account, be sure to ask your bank what their policy is on ach transactions going through on closed accounts. Some banks will force the closed account open and allow the transactions to go through. Then you owe the bank! If your bank does do this, explain your situation and ask them to put the account on deposit only before the close it. That way no ach attempts will reopen the account.

Your mortgage company RECCOMENDED you get an (any) additional pay day loan?? I would seriously consider changing mortgage companies A.S.A.P.

I agree with LCW . . . . Any company that recommends a pdl to pay them off has no idea what they are doing.

Still having problems with that number. I called their number over and over again. My bank did an investigation and they said it was a valid charge. Which is incorrect. Then I closed the account. So I thought problem solved. Now I've gotten a call from this company of course in the message the guy didn't say what company he was with, demanding that I or an attorney who is representing me call him back right away. He also called me by my previous last name. So I really don't know where these people came from or what is going on, or how in hell they even got my account number. And, however they got it, how do I know they can't get my new bank account number?
