Well, I have been just trying to do the best I can here of late. I started getting a bunch of phone calls and letters, but most of these guys want huge payments of $100 a week...etc. I cannot do that right now.
This morning I got a call from someone who says they are from Patrick Corbett's law office with a pending suit. I checked this out and there is a Rip Off Report on them that it is a co. that specializes in collecting Pay day loans and they use this attorney's name.
I am paying off some of the store fronts, slowly albeit...and some just want big money so I may wind up in court...only so much money to go around you know?

You need to find out what PDL company they are attempting to represent. It is entirely possible that a PDL company could take you to court to get their money if they are a legal, licensed company allowed to lend into your state.

Have you checked into who the PDL company is that this Patrick Corbett is calling about yet?

It is me...no they did not say, but I have not received any notice of being sued. I read the Rip Off Report as I mentioned....this co. is bad news.
I did set up an arrangement this afternoon with one co. For $100 a month and left voice mail for the Pres of another...these are legal ones....otherwise....just plodding here.

Actually, I use RipOffReport.com for just about everything. It is a very informative and enlightening site. It's amazing just how tangled the roots of many of these situations are. If you trace things back far enough, many of them are all "related" somehow.
