Will payday loans sue me or have me arrested for stopping payment on a PDL? I have 2 PDLs that I have paid on for 4 weeks. Of course this just pays the rollover fees not the principle. I live in NJ and found that PDL's are illegal and all other loans have a 30%cap. I can't sleep or eat afraid I will be arrested or something. What should I do? I faxed them letters and sent them emails stating the money I paid should apply to the principle and then they would be paid in full except for the 30% interest allowed by NJ law.

I did not get payday loan. Someone is calling me wanting money or press criminal charges. I live in Virginia. They will not tell me when the loan was made and from what company.

Can they do anything to me and is there a possiblity of someone getting loans in my name?

I've done all sorts of searches, and can't find an address for them, so more than likely they are overseas, and can't do squat, hence the threats. If you do a google search on the number you have, you'll find lots of hits, and same thing has been happening to alot of other people.

Have you told them not to contact you again? And no, you cannot be arrested.

He said, "Call me back right now!" He then said, "I wish you very good luck. Just wanted to pass on this information. He left number. I checked it and it appeared to be from Miami
