Hi goudah! Well I did all of the research & here is what I've paid out so far...
Eastside-loan 600.00 have paid 837.50
NLS-loan 375.00 have paid 340.00
VC Funding-loan 300.00 have paid 540.00
Payday Cash Link loan 300.00 have paid 180.00
ACC-loan 300.00 have paid 405.00
Upfront-loan 250.00 have paid 375.00
Zip Cash-loan 500.00 have paid 450.00
One Click Cash-350.00 took out on 9/6
Hubby & I went to the bank at lunch. Wells Fargo couldn't close the other account until it's at a 0 balance. However we were able to open up a new account & will have hubby's paycheck direct deposited into that account while I use mine to get the negative balance taken care of. What's the next step?
Thanks, Lisa

Wait - Did you open a new account at WF? Please say no . . . . They have a tendancy to freeze and close your good account if you bad one is negative too long. You will eventually get the money that was in the good account, but not for 6 to 8 weeks!
The next step is to start the letter writing. You need to send them letters stating that you revoke any authorization to debit your account, revoke any and all wage assignments you signed, and put your state laws regarding pdl's in there. I know Cannr has a good example letter that included everything you need. PM her if you'd like a copy to use as an example.

You will also need to file complaints against all these companies with the NDBF . . . . . NE does go after these places! You will have to do a seperate complaint form for each company. Also file complaints against all the companies with the BBB. Sometimes they help settle for you.

You seem to have paid off the principal amount in some of the accounts. Check your state laws and find out the permissible interests and fees that can be charged by these companies. If you have overpaid, you need to claim for a refund from that particular company. Also make sure that they are licensed in your state so that their business sounds legit.

yes we did open a new account with Wells Fargo..kinda stuck between a rock & a hard place there. My mortgage payment is paid to my father & he banks at wells fargo. If I closed that account & changed banks he'd be asking 50 million questions and I really don't want him knowing about this whole mess.

Okay, just be REALLY careful. And I would not keep all my money in that account. Maybe open another account at another bank and only use the WF account for the mortgage payment?

I did check the state laws & from what it looks like the fees can be no more than 15.00 per 100.00. Most of these places are charging 30.00 per 100.00. I get confused on the interest rate however.

It doesn't matter - In NE if the companies aren't licensed to lend BY NE, they are lending illegally. They cannot collect interest.

lmk, what state are you in? It looks as though some of your ipdl's are not licensed/legal anywhere. I'm just throwing my 2 cents in here just by looking at the names.

Don't apologize! You have a good reason for keeping one there.
