Paycheck Today is MTE Financial?

Good morning! I filed a complaint with the BBB regarding Paycheck Today. It was forwarded to MTE Financial who in return states they have no record of me as a client. I responded to the BBB stating that I had a feeling this would happen. I filed another complaint with the BBB and manually entered Paycheck Today's info in the system...it too was forwarded on to MTE Financial. I feel like I'm going around in circles! I filed a complaint with the FL Attorney General and let them know. I've already closed my bank account so they won't get my money. Has anybody had this same problem? Any suggestions on what to do next?

You've done what you need to do. You've got your bank account taken care of, you've filed your complaints. Yes, we've had this experience. MTE Financial will not acknowledge that they are 18+ d/b/a's. Yes, you will go around in circles. As long as you've filed with the BBB for both the pdl AND MTE Financial. I filed MTE Financial separately after all the grief they caused me. And make sure to file with your state AG for the pdl name and MTE Financial separately. They will drive you insane. Just make sure you file the complaints. You are not the only one that MTE does this to.

ald, don't I know the feeling? I swear, I kept coming back to the forum and posting like a crazy person because each response I got from an MTE related pdl was driving me insane! I thought I was going crazy! And, I do believe, that's their intent! Just make sure you file complaints on the pdl name and also on MTE Financial themselves. Eventually they're going to catch up with MTE and their 49 different names!
