Has anyone dealt with Paychecknow.com recently for a settlement? I have sent them 4 e-mails in the past 7 days and have not gotten any response. They are not licensed to lend here in WI so I am trying to work out a settlement.

I haven't dealt with them personally, but sometimes it does take a while before the company will respond in any way. I recall one of mine didn't respond to anything I wrote to them for over a month. Just keep at them and once they realize you aren't just going away and can't be intimidated into paying, they will start the communication.

After more research, Paychecknow is a member of the BBB with an AA rating. But yet they do not respond. I found an e-mail address for rhe general manager on the BBB site so I forwarded my e-mail to him.

From what I have read on other threads here and there is that they are relatively easy to deal with as long as you keep up your end of the agreement. They are also quick to turn accounts over to a third party for collections. Have you tried calling them?

Doesn't matter what their BBB rating is, they should not be lending in a state that they are not liscensed to lend in...

I did call about 2 weeks ago. In fact I spoke with someone in a collection dept (even though I am not in collections bacause I am current.) and set up a settlement payment arrangement. I then received a phone call from someone else about 15 minutes later stating that they cannot set that up because I am not in default so they voided it. This was all verbal.

Get everything from them in WRITING! These companies have a habit of giving a verbal agreement and then taking it back!

I did state that I wanted a copy of it e-mailed to me in writing but it never got that far. I know they are mostly crooks.

Paycheck now is really bad. They will email you repeatedly when you have an outstanding balance with them. Once your account is paid, they will not respond. Get your Attorney General into this matter. Send a letter with a copy to your AG and keep pushing them for the PIF letter.

James,
i would revoke any authorization they have to debit your account and do it today. Continue to try and get ahold of them and document your attempts,

Hi everyone,
Looking for some opinions on this one. Closed my account last week and my first 3 PDL's went past due on Friday. John at Paychecknow collections called me this afternoon. We argued for a bit as he as asking for about $400 something. I have sent numerous letters requesting to be zero'd out as PIF - about 12 times - as they are not licensed to lend in WI. I have paid $375 to date on a $300 loan so the pricipal is more than satisfied. He hung up on me while I was talking - or so I thought. I called back about 30 min later and asked for a supervisor. We argued a lot and I screamed at him - getting nowhere. While we argued another call came in and went into v-mail. It was John calling back. He said the system went haywire and we were "cut off." Whatever. He then said he spoke to his manager and because of a license issue they would close my account as PIF and I owe them nothing more. I called back the collection phone number to try and reach him. I wanted this in writing. I called and a guy named Robbie answered. He said he would get John but never did. He acted like he had no clue what I was talking about and wanted to know how I got the collection dept number - like it's some big secret! (I got it from this website!) I eventually hung up because my blood pressure was already high enough from arguing.
What are your thoughts? If I hear nothing back in about 30 days or so do I assume all is fine? I plan to save the v-mail as long as possible.

You need to get this in writing. Keep at them til they send you the PIF in writing. If you don't have it, you have nothing to protect yourself if they try and collect again.

hello,
what is their email address? I see that they are
platinum finance co.llc. here is the facts:
THEY did deposit. 2/6/08 - 300 in my acct.
ACH withdrawl:
2/29 - 125.00
3/14- 62.50
HEres the thing. I have no contract in writing.
I did go online. I did fill out appl. Someone
called me and said funds will be deposited into
my acct. Okay, everytime I go to their website
and try to logon -client id. itjust givesme
my balance active .$312.00 and an autonew button
is all I can do. They never sent me an email
electronic contract. So.... how do i just pay the
balance of 112.50? Should I call them.
I AM STILL GOING OVER:
AJW HOLDINGS WHO IS:
-icashdirect
-quickbucksdirect
They make the deposit unde AJWHoldings, then
they make w/d under icashdirect. Sneaky...
MTE--- IM STILL GOING OVER IT.
I CANT FIND THAT CONTRACT.
